A popular spring holiday in the United States, Easter is celebrated by a great many people. This holiday is observed not only in the US but also around the world. Early Christians wanted the Easter holiday to be at a similar time as Passover, which is a significant holiday on the Jewish calendar. The connection is important because Jesus was of Jewish descent and his death and resurrection occurred after the Passover holiday was celebrated early in the 1st century.
Easter is a fun holiday that can be celebrated by giving gifts to family members and friends. For children, gifts like stuffed animals, chocolate candies, jellybeans, and other treats are much appreciated.
