Gerbes Supermarkets is a small supermarket chain in the U.S. headquartered in Hutchinson, Kansas. The chain is owned and run by Kroger under the Dillons Division. Gerbes Supermarkets shares the main value of its parent company, Dillons: To give customers the best products at the best prices. Today, the store has six locations, all in central Missouri.
The Gerbes Supermarket story dates to 1933 when Frank J. Gerbes founded a general store in Tipton, Missouri. Decades later, Frank and his wife Minni founded their first two Gerbes supermarkets in Columbia, Missouri, in 1961 and 1972. Later, as Mr. Gerbes and his wife transitioned to retirement, Gerbes Supermarkets merged with Dillons, a regional supermarket chain the Dillon family continued to run as an independent company until The Kroger Company acquired it (and the Gerbes stores) in 1983. Today, Kroger operates six stores under the Gerbes banner in the Columbia and Jefferson City, Missouri, areas.

In 2021, Gerbes Supermarkets celebrated the 100th anniversary of its parent company, Dillons. The supermarket chain is taking the opportunity to look back on this long, successful history as a testament to the concept of unwavering passion for serving others.
Gerbes Supermarkets are committed to giving back to their communities through fundraising efforts. In October 2019 they sponsored a back-to-school drive for Lake area students. Thanks to the generous, hardworking community members and employees who pitched in, the students and staff of the Camdenton School District received many useful items.
