FoodMaxx is a division of retail grocery stores that function within the family of Save Mart Supermarkets, serving the communities in the areas of California and Northern Nevada. The warehouse concept stores sell grocery products such as fresh produce, baked goods, meat, pantry items, baby care items and more. FoodMaxx stores are open from 6 am to midnight.
With its first store opening in Bakersfield, California in 1986, the FoodMaxx brand was well received by the community. It grew in California and eventually crossed into Nevada in 2016. FoodMaxx now has 53 stores that are operated under its banner, 51 in California and two in Nevada. Their division headquarters is located in Modesto, California.
FoodMaxx works hard to get the customers the lowest possible prices and one way they do this is through their Wall of Value. These are unadvertised deals that must be found in store. Maxx Coupons are offered for customers to get the most out of their dollars, and these can be accessed through the FoodMaxx mobile app. Plus, customers who find a better price elsewhere can take advantage of the store’s Ad Match policy.
As part of the Save Mart family of companies, FoodMaxx participates in various charitable giving campaigns and events throughout the year. Whether for non-profit organizations such as schools and children’s hospitals or local food banks, grants to charitable foundations or food waste reduction, the company works hard to help out with worthy causes.
FoodMaxx celebrates and encourages local growers by building and continuing important relationships with ranchers, producers and farmers in the surrounding areas. The parent company, Save Mart, continues to be the largest family-owned grocer in the state of California and they work hard to keep that reputation for being “local”.
