The company aims to be the go-to store for home goods, whether in its brick-and-mortar stores in all 50 states or through its website. Bed Bath and Beyond offer design services, gift registries, gift wrapping, special events, and more.
Starting in New Jersey in 1971 under the name “Bed ‘n Bath”, the store began by selling only products related to bedrooms and bathrooms. As it expanded over the next 15 years, the company had 17 stores in New York and California and changed its name to Bed Bath & Beyond in 1987. They continued adding stores and by 2019 grew to more than 1500 stores in the US, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
