Wayfield Foods is an American retail chain of grocery stores that does business in the metro area of Atlanta, Georgia. They sell grocery, food and household items such as fresh produce, dairy, canned goods, and more. Their tagline, “The Meat People” shows that their dedication is to providing poultry, beef and pork in a wide array of styles, cuts and flavors.
Founded in Georgia in 1982, the name Wayfield is the combination of the last names of the two founders: Ralph Calloway and Ron Edenfield. By 1989, Edenfield had bought out his partner, and the company continues to be privately owned with an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). New store openings have grown the company to its current 8 stores in the Atlanta Metro area.
To keep up with weekly sale offerings, Wayfield customers can subscribe online to receive emails of the store’s sale flyers. Weekly ads include savings on a variety of items in grocery, meat, produce, diary and other departments.
