The history of United Supermarkets goes back more than 100 years to 1916 when a man named H.D. Snell opened “United Cash Store” in Sayre, Oklahoma. The company no longer operates in the state of Oklahoma, however, and these stores are exclusive to Texas and New Mexico. Because of other stores with a similar name, this company does business under “The United Family”.
