Corner Market is an upscale American grocery store chain that operates stores in the state of Mississippi. The stores aim to provide quality to their customers, including fresh produce, high-end meats, on-site baked goods, craft beer, floral items, specialty foods, and more. The history of the Roberts family, whose company owns Corner Market, dates to 1968 when Doc Roberts opened his first grocery store. The Roberts Co. stems from there and, in the early 2000s, the concept of the Corner Market came to fruition when the flagship store was opened in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Corner Market now has at least 15 locations throughout Mississippi. In 2021, at least three more stores were opened, and it seems that a few other stores have been acquired and are in the works of rebranding to become Corner Markets as well.

Corner Market continues to grow in 2021 by adding more stores. After neighbors anxiously anticipated their opening, two new Corner Market stores were opened in the chain’s native Hattiesburg, by revamping and overhauling two different locations that had been owned by other grocery stores. Another store was opened in the Jackson area earlier in the year.
Corner Market stores are interested in promoting community and each store manager can choose the ways that they help out locally. Community projects have included donations and volunteers for local Girl Scout troops as well as nearby Employment Centers.
