Though not a chain, they are full-service grocery stores with produce, meat, deli, bakery, meat, seafood, and pharmacy departments. They offer high-quality grocery items at low prices, with national brands and various private label products like Essential every day, Culinary Circle, and Wild Harvest.
Shop 'n Save was established in 1968 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as one of the nation's first discount grocery stores. Today, there are more than 90 independently owned and operated SHOP 'n SAVE stores in Western Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, Ohio, and West Virginia. The stores are supplied by the distributor SuperValu, which licenses the Shop 'n Save name.
