As | reflect on the year and look forward to another, | am overwhelmed with gratitude and my passion for our mission is renewed. Our Mission to Delight our Customers, Nourish our Communities and Inspire Pride in our Team is carried out on many fronts. As our personal budgets have been tested by the severe inflation, | have in- structed our team to double its efforts to provide savings in our stores. The team has been very successful in driving savings at every turn in the road, but the most im- pact has been seen with the new loyalty program. As many customers have learned, signing up for the program is easy and the savings are real. The big winners in the program are the customers that have included email on their account because they become part of a program that enables additional savings with every shop. All of our work on loyalty was the foundation to a much larger strategy to Delight called “Go Fresh” rewards which will launch in 2023. 2022 was another banner year for Nourishing our Communities. We continued to focus our Nourishment efforts around lifting up organizations that support the mental health of our communities. Many people think of mental health in terms of the severely wounded, but in reality we all are faced with a mental health challenge. Building community resources to deal with all levels of mental health is important to us, and we will continue to drive awareness and resources to this cause. Lastly, and most importantly, | want to thank our teammates. The teammates that take nights, weekends and holidays away from family in order to serve their neigh- bors are truly Inspiring. We have some of the best teammates that any company could hope for and | sincerely believe that our team makes us the best place to shop. When | think of the team, | think of family and community. | think about the people that have dealt with uncertainty in a pandemic. | think about the people that have worked without a day off due to unprecedented shortages in applicants. And to all of my teammates, | say thank you and wish you a very Merry Christmas. Eat Well, Be Kind and Thank You for Inspiring me to be a better grocer.
