Here's another thing you should know about Margaret: she was fierce, strong, and passionate, and that's how she lived her values, decade after decade. We're humbled and proud to say that we've followed in her footsteps as a family and a company. As we reflect on 70 years, we'd like to celebrate a few of the things this joy-filled woman— with so much love for people, this planet, and the pursuit of health—sparked around 7 here. The impact she had on her family, her friends, and this company wasn't because she set out to "do a thing’... she simply couldnt not. It’s who she was, organically. y Travel back in time with us to the cozy house that was our first store, called Vitamin Cottage. The air was thick with the herbaceous aroma of bulk herbs and spices being packed in the kitchen. The aisles were narrow, the shelves tall and lined with supplements. And if you followed the sound of laughter, youd probably find Margaret herself sharing her wealth of nutrition knowledge with the community. Youd also find a community food cabinet Margaret kept in those early stores if you knew where to look.
